How can you get young people excited for a job in chemistry? After all, the average teenager is not necessarily keen on pots, balances, microscopes and measuring cups. A staff shortage in the sector is imminent. An interesting key to the solution: a game. Or better: a series of games!
Commissioned by Co-Valent, the department of the chemical sector organization that focuses on communication with young people, Dreammachine developed a series of 4 games, each in Dutch and French. Each game focuses on a specific sector in the chemical industry. The first game is about plastic (try to make as many bottles as possible, performing all the necessary tasks), other sectors are still in the pipeline.
The games are compatible with all platforms: PC, Android and iOs, thanks to their web-based code (html5). Go and try it yourself on the website of Breaking Science to see how many bottles you can produce.
